Vocal Concert at Mysore

Pandit Sudhindra Bhaumik enthralled a very appreciative audience with a vocal concert of Hindustani Classical music at Vasudevacharya Bhuvan, JLB Road, Mysore on October 16, 2011. The program took wings at 6.00 p.m. and ended at about 9.00 p.m. The concert was organized by Swar Sankula Sangeet Sabha, Mysore, which promotes the development of Hindustani Classical Music in Mysore.

Panditji were accompanied on the Tabla by Shri M. S. Kiran and on the Harmonium by Shri Veerabhadriaha Hiremath.

Panditji was at his best rendering the following Raagas: Vilambit and Drut Khayals in Raag Multani; then a khayal in Raag Marwa, and later a Meera Bhajan (Marwa Raag concept) Madhyalaya two compositions in Raag Kedaar. A Thumri in Raag Maanch Khamaj and a Tappa in Raag Kafi. The concert was concluded with a Purab-ki-Dadra in Mishra Kirwani.
